LS Tuition Terms and Conditions

Definitions

<ul>
 	<li>LS Tuition refers to the tutoring organisation operated by Lydia Scaltsas, including all tutors, staff, and representatives working under the LS Tuition brand.</li>
 	<li>Tutor means any individual employed by or contracted through LS Tuition to deliver educational services.</li>
 	<li>Student refers to the child or learner receiving tuition through LS Tuition.</li>
 	<li>Parent/Carer means the person responsible for arranging tuition, entering into agreement with LS Tuition, and making payment for lessons.</li>
 	<li>Lesson refers to a single booked session of tuition, whether delivered in-person or online.</li>
 	<li>Partnership refers to the agreed arrangement between LS Tuition and the Parent/Carer for the provision of tuition services.</li>
 	<li>Policies and Procedures refers to all official LS Tuition policy documents, as published on our Parent Portal and in our Drive and reviewed annually.</li>
 	<li>Virtual Classroom means the secure online teaching platform LearnCube, used by LS Tuition to deliver online lessons.</li>
 	<li>Learning Space refers to LS Tuition’s in-person teaching environment, currently located at SPACE, 11 Harewood Road, Edinburgh, EH16 4NT.</li>
 	<li>Stripe refers to the third-party payment processing service used by LS Tuition for invoicing and transactions.</li>

Tutor Qualifications

All LS Tuition Tutors are fully qualified Primary School Teachers with full registered status within the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS).

Online Learning

All online lessons take place in the LS Tuition Virtual Classroom. You will receive, through email, a personalised link for each booked lesson every Monday (for weekly lessons). Where LS Tuition is closed on a given day, lesson link emails will be sent the following working day. If you have requested homework as part of your child’s Individual Tutoring Program, this will be sent to you on the day of your lesson with your LS Tuition Tutor each week.If you would like your LS Tuition Tutor to assess homework and provide feedback, please send it to them via email at least 24 hours before the lesson starts. If homework is sent within 24 hours of the lesson start time, there is no guarantee that the Tutor will be able to provide feedback in time for the upcoming lesson.For more information about our Online Learning and virtual classroom, please visit the following link: <a href="https://lstuition.co.uk/online-learning">https://lstuition.co.uk/online-learning</a>.All online lessons are subject to the LS Tuition Online Learning Policy, which outlines safeguarding, attendance, and communication expectations.

In-Person Learning

All in-person lessons take place in the LS Tuition Learning Space:

The LS Tuition Learning Space currently operates within the SPACE building, which is managed under its own health and safety procedures. LS Tuition maintains its own internal safety standards and risk assessments within Unit 21.

Quality Assurance & GDPR Data Protection

All payments are to be made via Stripe, a third-party payment processing system. Upon your first payment, your details will be saved securely in Stripe.
